About

So, what do you need?

I’ve spent the last 15 years in print and online media, and have a decade’s worth of award-winning newsroom writing and editing experience to put to work for you. Features, interviews, columns, business profiles, sports, breaking news, online event coverage, blogging - if it’s needed writing,  I’ve taken it on.

I can deliver quick, clean copy on a hard deadline, or serve as that extra set of proofreading eyes you need to complete and polish your project.

For four years, I covered marketing, advertising and public relations at a metropolitan business publication, so I also know what lands a pitch or press release in the trash can, and what tools will work best to get coverage in the outlets you’re targeting.

Outside the newsroom, I’ve stretched myself in different directions: I’ve written and recorded radio commentaries for American Public Media and local National Public Radio affiliates, provided web and print event coverage for the Tribune Company, and crafted longer feature articles for magazines and newspapers. I have also helped craft corporate email campaigns and responses to RFPs.

I am also available for book-length projects. I worked closely with Ohio author Adam Besenyodi in editing his 2009 book “Deus ex Comica: The Rebirth of a Comic Fan.” My own non-fiction retrospective, “Collect All 21! Memoirs of a Star Wars Geek - The First 30 Years,” has sold copies in ten countries, and I have also written a novel, “Crossing Decembers.”
